Can Somebody Donate $1,147.50?

Or perhaps $250? It's for a good cause.

What's the cause?

'Cause I want to try this new face cream by Estée Lauder.Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lifting Cream
And that is how much it costs: $1,147.50. One Thousand One Hundred Forty Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents.

Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lifting Cream is what it is called, and it:
"Effectively reduces visible aging lines, Provides instant lift & hydration, Ensures a young-looking complexion, Unique ingredient helps skin from sagging, Boosts its natural production of collagen."

At first I thought it must be a typo and was going to send an email letting them know...

But just to be safe, I checked the Estée Lauder website, and discovered that the 1.7 oz. jar of Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lifting Cream sells for $250.00 and that by purchasing the 8.6 oz. jar, I would be saving $117.21.

How often do you get the chance to save $117.21 on a jar of face cream?

Plus, if it costs that much, it must be good!

For that kind of money I better end up looking like I am 12.

Update! March 20th: Believe it or not, someone was generous enough to actually donate to the "Estée Lauder Face Cream Fund"! Tradeswind's Imports.com, a bathroom vanities shop (with really gorgeous stone sinks, btw) has donated $25 dollars towards the acquisition of the fabulous Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lifting Cream. Perhaps if enough people donate, I can actually purchase some and tell you for sure if it is worth the price...

Hi...just wandering by on my Monday Meandering project for my blog...it's the first time I've tried it. Wow...$1,147.50???? That's like a tenth of a face lift or something!

I found you through 50shousewife :) I would think that your assessment is correct. If I pay that much for face cream, I better look amazing! lol

Wow...let's see, face cream, or my mortgage for a month? Really, it's a toss up. As you can probably tell from my user pic, I'm ALL about the beauty products. *cough*
