California Court Strikes Down Ammunition Law

I am a card carrying member of the NRA. My grandfather was, too. The little NRA sticker he had affixed to his front door, the only sticker he ever put anywhere, ever, I think, used to make me slightly embarrassed and uneasy when I visited with friends. I put my sticker on the back of my car, so more people see it.

Some people do horrible things with guns. Most people do not. Some people do horrible things with cars, the unintentional farmers' market tragedy and the intentional Isla Vista murders come to mind not to mention countless car bombs, most people do not.

The founding fathers included the second amendment for a reason. They were some of the smartest people to have ever walked the face of the earth and they put a lot of thought into what they wrote. Anybody who thinks that the Constitution is outdated, or is tempted to side with leaders who ascribe to that view, should consider that those documents have produced the oldest standing democracy on the planet. Here. In the US. Not in Europe, which some keep trying to emulate. In fact, every so often, Europe ups and kills a few million of their own citizens. Same goes for Asia. Africa and Latin America prefer a slightly less dramatic approach and are on the continual plan effected by numerous regional conflicts.

So, you don't have to love guns, I don't - I don't own one. But you are an idiot if you don't love the second amendment and the rest of the Constitution and Bill Of Rights.

Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

Girl Scouts - Because next time, you'll just buy the damn cookies.
