Getting Our Rights Back - Listen and Learn

I don't know whether this is true or not. But we owe it to ourselves to find out. If you are feeling a little bit less than free these days, do yourself a favor and put some effort into learning how to stop the power-hungry from taking control over every aspect of your life.

I realize that some of the stuff I post may turn out to be baloney, but I am not going to let that deter me. I have no intention of becoming a "believer" of funky conspiracy theories, nor descend into paranoid paralysis. That does not mean, however, that I will not take a look at some of the more outlandish assertions floating around on the Internet. That is what you have to do when you realize that what you thought was at least a close approximation to the truth, turns out to be utter BS and that those in charge are either deluded themselves or filthy, stinking liars.

If you doubt me, go find back issues of whatever newspaper you read from the weeks and months leading up to the financial crisis and look for the articles written reporting on the impending crisis. You won't find them.

Do not believe that the crisis was "unforeseeable" or "took everyone by surprise" because there are plenty of well documented examples of people who knew what was coming, wrote about it extensively and knowledgeably and somehow managed to warn people who would listen to them. Do you really think that the main-stream media were unaware of these warnings? These are people who are in the business of knowing what is going on. Some of them must have known, yet they chose not to report on it.

If you are honest with yourself, and had had any dealing with the real estate market, you probably were aware on some level that something was amiss. A layman wouldn't be privy to the Wall Street shenanigans, but even without Wall Street, we would have had mass foreclosures and bank failures. They compounded the problem, but did not create it.

These days I repeat this phrase to myself quite often:

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Get this through your head. Nobody is going to protect your rights and well-being for you. They will tell you they will, but like most people on the planet, they worry about themselves first. You may benefit for awhile, while it benefits them, but once your welfare is no longer in their best interest, guess who is going to lose. YOU ARE.

For the record, do not believe that those in power give a damn about your various and sundry "rights"  -  whether they are "gay rights", "rights for minorities", "rights for Muslims" or "rights for burnt toast". I have seen enough myself in Los Angeles with regard to how blacks are being treated by the so-called bleeding-heart liberals to know that this is nothing but pretense. Total BS, Fake, Phony and Baloney, too.

Whatever your political persuasion may be, unless you think a system ruled by a fascist dictator is best, you need to get yourself educated. Because if you have been relying on nothing but the MSM, you know NOTHING.
