Dear Jerry Brown

If you honestly believe that the right thing to do is to pass AB 131 and give taxpayer money to illegal aliens, why do you and your fellow proponents of the bill lie about it?

You are an educated man, an eloquent speaker, and I am sure your father taught you the difference between right and wrong, don't you believe enough in your cause to be able to convince the citizens of California that passing and enacting AB 131 warrants the sacrifice based on AB 131's merits alone?

Why such a need for secrecy, deception and haste? Is that what your idea of government is or do you just have such a low opinion of your fellow citizens? If you made your case and the people disagreed with you, would you then consider us stupid, call us ignorant and enact the law behind our backs, like Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer or Dianne Feinstein?

That show you put on in the 1970s, refusing the Governor's mansion, playing up the man of the people image, that was just an act? In reality, you really consider yourself all-knowing and infallible and therefore justified in telling the people what is good for them instead of the other way around?

Were you interested in my opinion, which I know you are not, I would have to say that short of torturing people, there isn't much difference between you and those leaders who keep getting tossed out over yonder in the Middle East.

Here's some advice. If you have to lie about what you are doing and why, you probably shouldn't be doing it. That's what I tell my kids, and how I try to behave myself.

Oops, I was looking for retro living ideas and stumbled upon yet another racist conservative website. My bad!
